Nick Frost SRN REGISTERED PROVIDER\OWNER
Nick qualified as a State Registered Nurse in 1980, and has eleven years experience working for the NHS. He has worked at Hurstead House since 1991 both as Nurse Manager and General Manager. He has a special interest in Palliative Care and has completed the “Care of the dying patient and their families” certificate.

Linda Eastwood RGN DEPUTY MANAGER
Linda qualified as an E/N in 1976 and as an RGN in 1995. During her time in the health service she has gained much experience in the general areas of Surgery and Acute Medicine, also working in the Diabetic Clinic. Linda became a nurse at Springhill Hospice, completing the “Care of the dying patient and their families” certificate.

About the Staff

Karen is supported by one full time RGN and two part time RGNs, who are all experienced in caring for the elderly. The home is further staffed by three enrolled nurses, twenty six carers, two domestics, two cooks, a secretary and a laundry assistant.

The Care Staff are organised into two Nursing Teams who all have individual clients allocated to them.

Susan Mills EN/RGN QUALITY ASSURANCE NURSE
Susan qualified as an Enrolled Nurse in 1983 and converted to RGN in 1997. She has vast experience working many years on the medical and surgical units at Rochdale Infirmary. Susan is responsible for looking at quality issues within the service we provide. She is also responsible for the induction training and mentorship of new and existing care staff.

Karen Cryer-Patterson RGN MANAGER

Karen Cryer-Patterson qualified as an E/N in 1978 and as an RGN in 1998. Post qualifications she has worked on the Medical Unit at Rochdale, the Emergency Admission Unit at Blackpool and the Rhematology and Stroke Unit at Hope Hospital Salford.
Karen has worked at Hurstead on a bank basis since 1992.
